He is a lot of work but sooooooooooooooooooo much fun. Look at the pictures of Samuel sitting up and crawling. It is so cute to see he personality shine.

Samuel's Step to Daycare

At six months Samuel started Daycare. It was the hardest thing for me to leave my child with someone I barely know. For the first few weeks I visited Samuel every three hours. Samuel's Daycare teachers seems friendly, and caring.she is qualified to care for Samuel.

Samuel was able to adjust to the transition quicker than I did. It is nice to see Samuel get excited to see his teacher in the mornings. Listed below are a few things that Samuel does for her and not for me:
Samuel does not take his bottle from me, but he takes it from her.
Samuel does not take one hour naps for me, but he does for her.
Samuel does not take his Gerber meals from me, but he takes it from her.

Samuel is able to engage with other children his age at Daycare. below is a picture of Samuel playing with his friend who is only three days younger than him.

Samuel's Six Month Portrait

Look how big Samuel is getting. Here is a peek at Samuel's six month portrait. I decided I would surprise my husband by choosing a soccer theme. My husband was beyond surprised when he saw the pictures. Samuel was a great sport getting his picture taken. Come back and visit to see Samuel's next Portrait. My husband will be surprising me. Hmmmmmmmmmm I love when my son and my husband surprise me.

Five Month Portrait

Samuel is now five months old. My husband and I decided get Samuel's photo professionally done at Wal-Mart. My husband liked this photo shot for Samuel's five month Portrait. Look at Samuel showing off his teeth with he beautiful smile.

Bath

Taking a bath is one of Samuel's favorite things to do during the day. He likes to splash and play with the bubbles. Look how happy he gets as I prepare his bath.

My Aunt and Me

Samuel's aunt enjoyed her time spent with him. She could not have enough of Samuel. She would have held him alllllllllllllllllllll day if I had let her. She changed his dippers, changed his clothes, fed him and put him to sleep. Isn't she a great aunt? Samuel loves her very much. There was something about her nose that he liked. He made several attempts to bit it ( hahahaha ).

Uncle and Me

Samuel time spent with his Uncle is always short but special. Uncle rarely gets to hold Samuel as long as he would like. However, Samuel did get a lot of hugs and kisses from his uncle.

Grandpa's love

Samuel enjoyed alllllllll the attention and love he received from his grandpa. Look at those pictures. It can't get any better then that.

Samuel's Grandparents

Samuel's grandparents came to Indianapolis to visit us. Samuel had a great time spending time with his grandparents. It was nice to see Samuel smiling and giving them kisses.

Samuel hurt Dad

Look what a baby's teeth can do. Samuel took his first bit on his dad's arm. I had to get a picture of this to show Samuel when he gets older. Look at his dad's sad face. Personally, I think it was Samuel’s way of showing his dad love(smile). Do you think that Samuel will fine this funny?

Look what Samuel can do

Samuel has worked very hard on sitting up on his own. He can sit up without any support. He likes to sit up. He gets very frustrated if anyone tries to lay him down. My husband and I are very proud of how Samuel is thriving. Would you like to know what Samuel is working on now? Keep viewing his page and you will see.

Samuel's Uncle

Samuel loves his uncle very much. Samuel's uncle and his girlfriend plan to get married and move to Indianapolis in the near future. They are very excited about the transition, and so are we. Samuel will get the opportunity to get to know his uncle a lot more once he moves to Indianapolis (smile).

Samuel's family

We had a great time at the Jamaican wedding. We ate and danced. Samuel even danced with him mom and dad for a few minutes. You will see a picture of us dancing together. Samuel spend a lot of time with his family. In one of the pictures from left to right you will view Samuels: aunt, grandmother, grandfather, uncle's girlfriend, me with Samuel, uncle and his sister. Samuel's dad was not in that picture because he took the picture.

A Grandma's love

Grandma really enjoys spending time with Samuel. Grandma told Samuel that she have a special bond with him because she was there at his delivery. I think it is very special that Samuel’s grandma will be able to give him a different perspective of his birth because she was there. I also noticed that grandma did a really good job sharing her love between Samuel and his sister to avoid jealousy. Thank you mom.

Four Months Old

Samuel is getting so big. The older he gets be more I enjoy him. He is starting to have such a delighted personality. I can still clearly remember when he was in my tummy. Samuel now has five teeth (YEAH 5). His pediatrician said he is ADVANCE ( hmmmm wow, I wonder who he got that from?). The interesting thing about him getting his teeth is that he puts his clothes in his mouth to massage his teeth. I have to change his clothes almost every 30minutes. But the most important thing to remember is that I would not change him for the world. Samuel you are our STAR.

A peek at our trip in Washinton D.C

It was a beautiful day visiting Washington D.C. Samuel and his sister visited the Lincoln Memorial, the Washington Monument and viewed the White House at a distant. We spent almost all day in D.C. It was a lot of fun. Samuel was such a good boy. I think Samuel enjoyed his dad carrying him in his green baby sack.

A Moment Captured

Samuel and his dad sleeping together; Isn't this the most beautiful thing you have ever seen? Samuel and his dad sleep schedules are very different, but one day they both were sleeping together and I had to capture the moment. Awwwwwww. Look at my boys.

A Beautiful Garden

Do you know of anyone who value nature as much as Samuel’s Godparents? Believe it when I tell you that they have a beautiful garden in their back yard. It is very divine with different types of flowers that welcomes all different types of birds. In the beautiful garden I was exposed to many flowers I have never seen before. My favorite flowers were the roses. Aren’t they beautiful? I think Samuel’s sister really enjoyed herself. Look at her modeling a rose in her hair with the owner of the beautiful garden. I think I am going to hire Samuel's Godparents to come and help me create a beautiful garden in my yard.

Three Months With Teeth

Do you see what I see? Look very closely at his smile. Samuel loves to smile to show off his two pearly teeth. I think occasionally I should pump and bottle-feed Samuel, because breastfeeding him is getting a bit difficult. Those two little pearly white teeth are like weapons when I’m breastfeed. It is so hard to say “NO” because I am busy saying “OUCH” when he bits. Even though Samuel is teething his is still a lot of fun to be around.

Kisses

Samuel and his sister love to give each other kisses. They are never tired of being around each other.Samuel is getting a lot of attention from his sister. She definitely loves her brother very much. Samuel enjoys his “sister-brother time” with his sister. She is convinced that Samuel look like her. According to her, they have similar complection and facial features.hmmmmm. What do you think? She said the funniest thing to me the other day. She said, “Shar Samuel has half of the same blood as me” ( smile ). It is obvious that she has already bonded with her brother.

Baby Bloopers

1. Have you set a nice warm bath for your baby boy and as you place him in the water he decided to pee? Samuel has.
2. While in the process of changing your baby boy’s diaper he felt it was a great time to spray you with his pee? Samuel has.
3. Have you change your baby boy in the car on your lap assuming he was done passing his bowl movement; while changing his diapers he decided he was not quiet done splattering it on your clothes and in your face? Samuel has.
4. Have your baby boy laugh out loud for the first time with his aunt and sister but refuses to laugh for you? Samuel has.
5. Have your baby boy ever farted in church so loud that the member behind you heard? Samuel has.
Mommy still loves you Samuel :)smile

Meet Samuel’s Sister

Samuel’s sister lives in Texas with her mother. Samuel will occasionally see his sister throughout the year. Samuel and his sister have a good relationship. He smiles with her, and at times gives her a look as if to say, “ I love you sis “. She enjoys holding Samuel. Her favorite phrase of the day is “Can I Hold Him Shar” (smile). There have been many times during the day where I would fine her looking at Samuel. It fascinates me to observe her admiration. At times I am curious to know what she thinks about her brother.

Samuel’s Godparents

Samuel’s godparents are two special people. They play a dual role in his life. Apart from being his godparent, they are also his aunt and uncle. Based on their principles, character, and poise my husband and I were convinced they would be great candidates. I will never forget the day my husband and I ask them to be godparents. I was not pregnant at the time, but due to our high level of admiration we felt it was necessary to ask their interest in such a special role. When they said" YES", I was overjoyed and got a bit tearful. I can venture to say that this is very meaningful to my husband and I. Samuel, you are fortunate.

I Am Blessed

I am blessed, for having you.
I am blessed, to be apart of you.
I am blessed, to love and care for you.
I am blessed, to never forsake you.
I am blessed, with each waking moment with you.
I am blessed, for always thinking of you.
Son
I am blessed, I am blessed.
I am blessed, for seeing me in you.

When You Grow I Will Come

Samuel is now teething. He more frequently has his hand in him mouth. I occasionally massage the area where his teeth are protruding. I massage Samuel’s gum with my finger; which appears to be very soothing to him. I feel very sad to see him so uncomfortable. Samuels bits anything that goes into his mouth as a way to cope with the discomfort. Which means, there are no restrictions when I am trying to breastfeed him. At times I am convinced that he is going to yank off his only source for food. (Ouch).

Three Months Old

Samuel is now three months old. It is amazing how fast Samuel has grown over the pass few months. I have always loved life and who I am as a person. However, life has been so much more meaningful since Samuel been born. My husband and I look forward each day to explore and grow with him.
Samuel now engages with friends and family, enjoys hugs and kisses, enjoys seeing himself in the mirror, and at times very entertaining with his voice. Samuel fine his toes to be the most interesting part of his body. He has tried many time to reach his toes with his hands while laying on his back.
Today we went to church. Samuel is a great baby during church services. He would either sleep or listen attentively. Samuel still gets the otter most attention from the church members when we attend. He even received gifts from two members of the church. My husband and I extent our gratitude to the members of the church for the love and affection they display to our son. Thanks with love from our family.

Samuel's Step To His Room

Before May 16,Samuel was sleeping with my husband and I. It was convenient for me to attend to Samuel when he would wakeup every two hours. May 16, was the first time Samuel slept in his room. He is doing a great job without mom being at his beck and call. I, on the other hand, is having a hard time getting adjusted to Samuel not sleeping with us. What do you suggest I do?

Two months old

Samuel is now two months old. He is so precious. Whenever My husband and I take Samuel places we are always approached by acquaintance to admire him. The complements make us feel great to be Samuel's parents. Most people say that Samuel looks like me ( smile). Samuel is a very good baby. He mostly cries when he is hungry or tired. He is now smiling and keeping his head up during his belly time. Samuel enjoys listening to my husband and I read him stories. The last story Samuel read with his dad was Bob The Builder. Samuel is currently listening to a story per day from: The Beginners Bible, Timeless Children Stories.

Happy Birth Day Samuel

Happy Birthday Samuel. My delivery was quiet an experience. I was scheduled to endue my labor Monday, February 21, at 8:00am. The night before the delivery my husband was unable to sleep due to anxiety. He kept on tossing and turning in bed. Finally, he decided to play his play station to keep his mind off the delivery. Monday morning at 2:00am, I was awaken by liquid flowing from my body. (My water broke). I remember laying still and screaming for my husband. Unfortunately, he was unable to hear me because he was in the office with the door closed. My mother came running to my rescue. I told her that I think my water broke. While I was getting out the bed my mom went to get my husband. I began to feel tolerable contraction as we heading out the door to the hospital. My husband kept on repeating “I AM GETTING MY SON, I AM GETTING MY SON". We arrived at the hospital at 2:45am and was admitted at 3:30am. I was 4 centimeter dilated when I was admitted. At six centimeter I was tired and overwhelmed as tears trickled down my cheeks. I was offered the Epidural and I refused it. When I finally got to eight centimeter dilated I began to have the urge to push. At nine centimeter the contraction got worse and the urge to push intensified. The pain was so excruciating. I felt like I was going out my mined. I feel like I could jump out my body. My husband fed me ice chips because my mouth was dry from breathing during each contraction. I was ready to give up. Finally, ten centimeters and I was ready to push. I pushed with every last energy I had. After about 3 pushes the doctor said “I CAN SEE THE HEAD, DO YOU WANT A MIRROR”? I said “no thanks”. About 6 more pushes Samuel was born. I did it. Samuel is here. My husband began to cry as he gave me a kiss. With all that said, I am very grateful to have the support of my husband and mother. I don’t think I could have done it without their support. February 21, 2005 at 3:30pm Samuel was born. it was truly amazing. A true gift from God. Mommy and Daddy loves you very much Samuel. What do you have to say about the birth of your child?
