Samuel's Daycare Experiences

As a mother, leaving your child with a stranger is one of the hardest things you could ever do. When Samuel was six months of age he started Daycare. The Daycare he attended was Kids Luv Daycare. Initially when seeking childcare for Samuel, I wanted a daycare in close proximity to our job with certified providers. Kids Luv Daycare had met the criteria, agreeing to ensuring the safety of our child. Samuel attended Kids Luv Daycare for two months (August through October). We decided to withdraw Samuel from Kids Luv Daycare on October 31,2005.

I am sure you are curious to hear why Samuel is no longer attending Kids Luv Daycare. Well, I would occasionally pick Samuel up from daycare early. On this particular day I pick Samuel up at noon. When I arrived at the daycare the provider informed me that her helper was out sick and she was left to supervise the children with the help of her 11-year-old daughter. Shortly after, her daughter brought Samuel to me. I was very disturbed by that. I asked the provider to please let me know when she is short staff so I can make other supervison arrangement for Samuel. She agreed. On our way home Samuel became unusually fussy. I stopped on the side of the road to check if Samuel was hungry and noticed that he had dried feces all over his body.My thoughts and feeling was indescribable. That was the last day Samuel went to Kids Luv Daycare.
