Today I took some pictures of Samuel having fun at daycare.

Happy Birthday Samuel

Today Samuel turn two years old. He had a lot of fun on his special day. Samuel went out to eat with mom and dad, went shopping and opened gifts. We are so grateful of life and happiness when we reflected on the birth of Samuel and how he has grown.

I want to say a special thanks from allllllllllll of our family and friends who called and text messaged to wish Samuel a Happy Birthday. Samuel's Maternal grandparents, uncle, aunt, second cousin, daycare teachers and paternal grandparents .Samuel maternal grandparent who lives in Maryland indulged in a Baskinsrobbins cake in celebration of Samuel’s birth ( hahahahhahaha).

Samuel’s birthday will also be celebrated on Saturday, February 24. Paternal grandparents and cousin will be traveling from Iowa to be apart of celebrating Samuel birth. It will be a lot of fun for Samuel ( shhhhhhhhh don’t tell Samuel he has more gifts ). Tune in for more pictures.

Samuel Feeds the Birds

Samuel and his dad posted a bird feeder in the backyard. As mentioned in an earlier post Samuel's Godparents/ Aunt and Uncle gave us the bird feeder for Christmas. We also have a Bird Book of Indiana to recognize the birds that come by to feed. Samuel's Godparents/ Aunt and Uncle have a lot of bird feeder in their back year and have seeing many types of birds.

Since the Bird feeder have been posted in our back yard Samuel just noticed birds visiting. The birds that has been visiting to feed is the Purple Finch. The Purple Finch is 15cm in size.

The female is a plain brown bird with a heavily streaked chest. Prominent white eye line.
















The male has raspberry red head, cap, breast, back and rump, bownish wings and tail.

Samuel's visit to the Dentist

I have noticed since Samuel was nine months discoloration of his four front teeth. We were informed by medical professionals/ dentist that pediatric dentist do not see babies until the age of 2. On Thursday, February 8, we took Samuel to a pediatric dentist being that he was weeks away from his second birthday. At the dentist, Samuel underwent a teeth x-ray. The result indicated that Samuel's four front teeth were decayed. The dentist were concern that if all four decayed teeth were not removed they would infect his gums and attack his permanent teeth. As a result, all four of Samuel’s teeth were extracted. It was one of the worst days of my life because I knew that giving Samuel milk after brushing his teeth before bedtime had attributed to his tooth decay. I became tearful and was comforted by my husband. I did not have words to explain my feeling. I guess at the moment I felt shocked, guilty,scared, confused. This was not the kind of first experience I wanted Samuel to have at the dentist. We were told by Samuel's dentist that BABIES ARE SEEING BY PEDIATRIC DENTICT ONCE THEY START HAVING TEETH. I was also angry because I felt that this could have been address if we were not misinformed.

As for how Samuel is doing, his personality has not changed. He is still the fun loving Samuel as before (playing and getting into mom and dad's belongings). Although we have to modify what he eats for healing purposes he still ask for food he can not yet eat.
